Only 2 ten wheeler locos were ordered from Burnham, Wms & Co (Baldwin) by the Maryland & Pennslvania Rwy with a 4 year gap between them. Specs - bldr #29760, 56" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 19x24" cylinders, engine wt 128,860 lb, modest tractive effort of 23,671 lb. The two were retired in 1955 with #27 being first in August and #28 in December. This appears to be an original Stuckey photo from 1935. |
