Description:  Good looking rugged loco built by Baldwin in June of 1925 for the Frisco. Specs - serial #58467, class 4135, 63" drivers, 190 psi boiler pressure, tractive effort of 59.801 lb. Description:  Built by Baldwin in May of 1926, this rugged locomotive sits quietly in the Oklahoma City, OK, yard. Specs - serial #59190, class 4150, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, tractive effort of 62,949 lb. This loco as well as almost all 2-8-2's were retired between 1948-56. SLSF 2-8-2 #4003 - St Louis-San Francisco (Frisco)
Title:  SLSF 2-8-2 #4003 - St Louis-San Francisco (Frisco)
Description:  Beautifully prepared of its installation as a static display in Kay Rogers Park in Fort Smith, Arkansas. This loco was one of a group built by Alco-Schenectady in the summer of 1919 for the Pennsylvania RR who rejected them. Quite a few of them were re-assigned by the USRA to the Frisco. It served unti retiement in early 1952 and eventually donated to the city of Fort Smith for display. It now resides as an outdoor display at the Fort Smith Trolley Museum. Bill Corben photo.
