Definitely showing some heavy wear and rust at this point in its life. Built in 1948 by Whitcomb Locomotive Works for Potlatch Forest Company, it moved over to the Warren & Saline River RR in 1963. Eventually WSR sold the little switcher to the Fox River Trolley Museum in South Elgin, IL, in 1991. There is was repainted in its yellow & green color scheme, and is still on the working roster. No photographer was listed for this photo. |
