Album Info:On the 15th of December, i went for a trip to M^ckay, some 450 km's north of Glaostone.

Description:  Queensland has the largest cane railway network in Australia, with around 500 km's of narrow 2 foot track. Here we see cane loco no 4 [from Sarina sugar mill] with a radio control brake car. This is to allow better control of the train, as the cane wagons don't have brakes fitted.

Description:  Sugar cane is grown in mass around mackay, as the warm, wet climate, and rich soil makes it one of the best growing areas in Queensland. Cane and cane trains are thick in the northern parts, and even southern central parts of Queensland.
