Down by the station |
Description: |
There are still a few stations on the Heavener Sub, a couple of them museums, a couple now city hall in their communities. The station here is a museum, and on the opposite end, has a Belle painted F 7, 73D. Its not visible in this shot of a northbound empty grain train pulling past the station and signal 216-9 behind a gray SD 70MAC. |

Beach day |
Description: |
The empty grain train rolls over the Elk River at Ginger Blue, a group of kids enjoying the high 70 degree day watching the 100 cars roll overhead. This was a one way chase, as there was nothing to meet at McElhany, near Neosho. So it goes. |

Just south of town |
Description: |
The empty grain train rolls through the south side of Gravette, a challenging town to shoot a northbound train in most of the day. |

Big rocks |
Description: |
The line in this part of Missouri follows Butler Creek up to Noel, where it reaches the Elk River. Over the millions of years it has taken for the valleys to form, many rocks have fallen from the cliffsides, among them some very large ones. The empty grain train passes on of them just south of Noel. |
