BO 0-8-0 #1672 - Baltimore & Ohio
Description:
Originally built by Alco-Richmond in January of 1906 as B&O 2-8-0 #2669, the B&O Shops in Mt Clare, MD, transformed it into a beeffy 0-8-0 yard switcher #672 in June of 1927. It was later renumbered B&O 0-8-0 #1672 in 1954 and again to B&O #876 in 1956. The loco was retired and scrapped in 1958. Rebuilt specs - 62" drivers, 207 psi boiler pressure, 25.5x30" cylinders, engine wt of 221,000 lb and tractive effort of 55,360 lb. This is a Max Miller photo.
