Description:  Ethanol train K674-17 slowly moving east through the Connellsville CSX yard past a few rows of autoracks. Despite all the snow on the ground, it is a mild 50 degree day. These trains out of the Midwest almost always have some kind of non-CSX power on them and today is no exception. NREX 6309 SD40-2 was built in July 1973 as MILW 25 and later became EMDX 6309 and SOO 6309. CP 5995 SD40-2 was built in 1980 and has been CP the entire time.

Description:  I woke up at 04:00 this morning to get an early start on a full day of railfanning with fellow contributor Jack Jakeman in the Selkirk area. At 04:40 this train hit the defect detector in Memphis, NY. When I met-up with Jack in Amsterdam, I mentioned that it would be great to catch this one! So......just before 11:00 we got it! I should also say that it was very nice to meet fellow contributor Chris G here today! So.....by 11:00 it was a good day; but, we could'nt have known that in a few hours it was gonna get even better in Delanson.

Description:  I caught word about the K635 (led by CP 5995) on the Riverline yesterday at 09:30 and I was hoping to catch it! So, here it is tied-down on the Belle Isle siding at CP296 where CSX's Syracuse terminal and Rochester subdivisions border-up. CSX engine #309 is leading the Q381 on track 1, and the Q112-17 is stopped on track 2 at CP294 waiting for authorization to run through a work zone.
