The engine had its prime mover removed and the front end was rebuilt to house movie cameras used to film various SP mainlines for the roads full-motion locomotive cab simulator, used to train new engineers. This engine is currently being restored to its original appearance, details of which can be found on the locomotives web site: HTTP://sp9010.ncry.org. The car is coupled to SSW SD45T-2 9300 for power while they do some filming near Tracy, California, on October 29; 1979. |
