TCWR ripped up the right track around 1991 or 1992 and severed it as far east as Dominick Drive in Minnetonka. The CTC signals were dismantled between 1991 and 1995 after the coal trains from Colstrip, MT to Portage, WI stopped running through here with BN/MILW power.

Tower E-14 was the official end of the double track. Everything east of this location to Chicago was double tracked. It used to be double tracked as far west as Aberdeen, SD.

I also notice that the Crosstown bridge wasn't constructed yet, but there was a pair of griswalds on the Ortonville Sub in the distance, marking the location where W. 62nd Street crossed at grade.

**correction to my first post...I was referring to the siding track. That siding was severed from the switch that you see in the picture at the Tower E-14...about a mile or so to just west of the Dominck Drive crossing in Minnetonka. I bet TCWR wishes they hadn't done that as today they are assembling monster DDG and ethanol trains to be picked up by UP and BNSF power, respectively.
