Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad SD7 409 near Lincoln, Nebraska sometime during March 1961, Kodachrome by Dick Rumbolz, Chuck Zeiler collection. Built in December 1952 (c/n 17405) on EMD Order 5140, it became BN 6057 and was retired in August 1983. This was one of 12 lightweight SD7's ordered by the CB&Q for use on branch lines that could not support heavier locomotives. It has a single fuel tank, no dynamic brakes, and no steam generator.
