This unit was pulling a train out of East Binghamton yard so that once the head-end power was clear of CP BD they could proceed east on the former Erie. Belden hill tunnel was stillo ut of service being enlarged so all trains ran east to Lanesboro and down the connection to Jefferson Jct. on the Penn Division where another set of power would pull the train south. This would allow th head-end power to tie on the correct end of the trian so it could proceed north. |
