STOLEN Hoosac Tunnel Plaque
One of the first railfan photos I ever took. This plaque was stolen soon after, after all those years of being attached to the East Portal of Hoosac Tunnel. It was no doubt melted down, BUT if it WASN'T, the person who owns it should feel pretty guilty... though I bet he doesn't }:(

Bernie Feltman General Jon-not necessarily a railfan theft. A history buff, a lover of that mountain, a simple collector, a railroad employee, a member of the original construction crew or his family, who knows. Sad thing is, when you steal something like this, you really can't show anyone, so whats the point, really? 1/25/2010 11:42:27 PM
Jonelle DeFelice General It is sort of like stealing the Mona Lisa. "Hey Sam, come over and look at my new painting!" But I don't care WHO stole it, it wasn't theirs, and was being used. That is pretty brazen... 1/26/2010 9:38:08 AM
