I had a doctors appointment scheduled early in the morning on the north side of Fort Wayne. I was planning to spend the remainder of the day along CSX watching trains since I was already that far north. Which is exactly what I did. I got out of the doctors office earlier than I had expected, which gave me a much earlier start to the day (no complaints from me!). I decided to start my day in Garrett. Things were very dead when I arrived. The L376 had departed eastbound for Defiance and other than that there was nothing else around, minus the Y103 yard job building the M353 pickup. A sole SD40-3 was the power. Not a road train, but a train to start the day nonetheless. |
