IN THE EARLY DAYS OF AUTOMOBILE MANUFACTURING, SHIPPERS AND PRODUCERS LOOKED FOR NEW WAYS TO SHIP FINISHED AUTOS. GRAND TRUNK DEVLOPED THIS EARLY STYLE OF TRANSPORT BOX CAR WITH HINGED END DOORS. THE CARS WERE LOADED CIRCUS STYLE WITH RAMPS PLACED BETWEEN EACH CAR. THIS ONE IS ONE OF THE FEW REMAINING. I HAVE AN ORIGINAL PHOTO THAT I TOOK AT MILWAUKEE JUNCTION IN DETROIT WHEN I FIND IT!.
