BO 412
Built in 1945 for the US Navy at their Naval Weapons Station Earle in Monmouth County, NJ, it was donated to the URHS with the understanding that it would not reflect any previous ownership in the restoration. It was instead restored as a B&O unit to replicate similar units that operated in the northern New Jersey area, including the B&O owned Staten Island Rapid Transit line from Cranford Junction on the CNJ main to the island. It has been leased to the SMS as a display and to be operated from time to time.
