The Soo Line had their major yard called Shoreham in Mpls MN next to the NP Northtown yard. Shoreham is a double curved run through yard with wyes at both ends, and today is an intermodal yard. Shoreham was a major backshop for the Soo with a transfer table and large roundhouse operation. In the 1960s and 1970s this was a typical consist on large trains on the Soo Line. Here we see a repainted RS3 Alco, an F7, GP9, GP30 and several other units. |
