As the dispatcher in the station and fellow trainman watch, this H class Consolidation gets underway with a blast of smoke from its stack. Built by the PRR Altoona shops as an H8a class with the original number of 1831 in 2/1908, it was later rebuilt in 12/1915 as an H10s. Unfortunately no location, date, or photographer was listed on the back of the photo. |
