Still standing proud is this 1929 Baldwin built Pacific in the Railroader's Park at Durand, MI, not far from the beautifully maintained GTW station it used to serve. This Pacific has high stepping 73" drivers, developed 200 psi boiler pressure for its 25"x28" diameter & stroke cylinders. According to the sign next to it, the engine weight was 257,000 lb. Definitely worth stopping by to see if in the area. |
