| 12th Street. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad property in Altoona, Pennsylvania, during January of 1966. Shown here (L to R) are three components of the PRR's 12th Street Car Shop complex: the Master Mechanic's Building (now the Altoona Railroaders Memorial Museum), the Power Plant (in the process of being demolished), and one of the Car Shop Buildings (soon to be demolished). Also visible on the other side of 9th Avenue are the steeples of two of Altoona's many churches. |
