Winter Day. Here is an original photo that I took in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in February of 1966. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #6027, #6506, and #6026. All are rated at 2,500 horsepower. #6027 and #6026 are EF-25A's built by GM-EMD in April of 1965, while #6506 is a GF-25A built by General Electric in April of 1965. They're passing under the 4th Street Footbridge and into the Eastbound Receiving Yard with a fully-loaded mineral train. Partially visible at the right is SOUTH Tower. |
