Winter Day. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, during February of 1966. Shown here is PRR engine #6046, an EF-30A built by EMD in 1966 and rated at 3,000 horsepower. It is pulling a string of empty hopper cars under the 4th Street Bridge on their way up the Allegheny Mountains via the Horseshoe Curve to Gallitzin and points West. |
