PRR 4901, GG-1, 1965
WIL-ALT-65. Here is an original photo that I took during a trip on Pennsylvania Railroad passenger trains from Wilmington to Altoona during August of 1965. Shown here is PRR engine #4901, a GG-1 built in Juniata during May of 1940. It is pulling a New York City-bound passenger train into the North Philadelphia Station.

Timothy Holliday General Good shot! Vintage trains are great! I bet when you look back, You'll be able to say "I'm glad I got that photo". Because at the time of this shot, this was modern. Much railfans at that time (and people in general) Had no clue these would be so well-loved. Best of luck and thanks for sharing. 11/3/2016 2:54:30 PM
