Here is the second of two original photos by an unidentified photographer of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4554, an I-1SA (2-10-0) "Decapod" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an I-1S during 1923, rebuilt in Juniata as an I-1SA in September of 1944, and retired in September of 1956. It is parked at a coaling-sanding facility, awaiting orders. Also visible on the left is PRR box car #56471. The date and the location are approximations. Roy Healey Collection; #2 of 12. |
