| A CN local crosses W. Prospect Ave./Hwy. BB while picking up a string of cars from the southwest end of the former C&NW yard at Appleton Junction, WI on 14 Aug. '18. When the local reaches the middle of the road, it will be spanning 3 communities at once in a peculiar spot of the sometimes confusing local borders. This section of the road is the border separating the Town of Grand Chute, Outagamie Co., WI to the north (left) and Fox Crossing, Winnebago Co., WI (formerly Town of Menasha, WI tntil 14 Apr. '16) to the south (right). The locomotives and a couple of freight cars are in the Town of Grand Chute, thanks to an unnatural jog in the border, the remainder of the train is in Appleton. The former SOO main line is just out-of-frame to the left. |
