Chione. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken near Monmouth Beach, New Jersey, on 9 June 1956. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1453, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during July of 1917 and retired in September of 1956 after 39 years of faithful service. The names of the photographer and of the three railroaders pictured here are not recorded. |
