| Illinois once ran coal trains on this line to the Rend Lake coal mine. So did UP. There were a couple of branching lines and a wye outside of Waltonville. The lined had closed down in early 2003 I believe but the last train on this line may have been on 12/08/08 which was a storage train with open hoppers. The bridge here was removed a few months ago due to farmer complaining about it |
