Delivered on 2/28/1948 as a 21 roomette sleeper for the Pennsylvania RR, it was labeled the "Braddock Inn". Over the years the car was reconfigured as a sleeper, coach, café-parlor and ultimately back to first class service to meet the needs of the various railroads including New Jersey Transit and Maryland Department of Transportation MARC Train Service. It is now a CSX car and between December of 2016 to March of 2017, they completely restored the car to its original glory with an original Tuscan red/black/gold paint scheme done by the CSX Huntington paint shop. |
