NJ Transit GP40PH-2 #4219 waits for commuters to board at the Red Bank train station. This was the locomotive damaged in the Secacus NJ Collision on 2/9/1996 that killed both engineers. It was orignally numbered 4148 but after being rebuilt was renumbered to 4219. The locomotive still has its GP40PH-2 designation as it was not part of the 4200 locomotive series order. |
