The former SP-Rock Island joint agency in Eunice is now a museum, complete with an Espee caboose. The Rock Island line into here from the north was abandoned in 1977 and the SP from the south in 1978. The SP north to Mamou was abandoned in 1935 and the T&P from Ville Platte went in 1943. Today the town is still served by the Union Pacific and the Acadiana. |
