Here is a solid looking 4-6-4 "Baltic" steam locomoitve (MILW name for the Hudson). Built by Baldwin in November of 1929 as MILW 4-6-4 #6401, it was renumbered in June of 1938 to MILW 126. After 25 years of service, the loco was retired and scrapped in December of 1954. Specs - class F-6, 79" drivers, 225 psi boiler pressure, 26x28" cylinders, engine wt of 37,850 lb and tractive effort of 45,822 lb. No photographer was lised No date, location or photographer was listed for this photo so approximates were used. |
