Description:
Union Pacific Photo Part of my personal collection. This locomotive was built by the Rome Locomotive Works (aka New York Locomotive Works) in March 1890 (construction number 580) as Union Pacific 0-6-0 number 1177, rebuilt in 1903 to 2-6-0 and retaining the road number 1177. In 1915 the 2-6-0 was renumbered to 4000, and in 1919 it was rebuilt to 0-6-0T shop switcher, numbered 03199, and named CHEYENNE (2nd), scrapped in 1939.
