Here's a rarer example of a 4-6-2 built by the Richmond Locomotive and Machine Works in March of 1919. Specs - serial #59324, class K-5, 79" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 75x28" cylinders, engine weight of 306,000 lb, tractive effort of 43,925 lb. Description: |
With a wooden ladder propped up against the locomotive, it doesn't appear that it will be taking off soon. This 1919 "Pacific" type K-5 class loco had 79" drivers and produced 200 psi boiler pressure. The class was retired between 1950-52. No date or location were given for this photo so arbitrary ones were set. |
