Title:  ACFX Tank Car 17456
Description:  Tank car ACFX 17456 was on the Penn Central at Enola, Pennsylvania. The 38,000-gallon car had a capacity of 276,000 pounds and a light weight of 118,000, for a gross rail load of 394,000 pounds. It was built in January 1967 with SHPX reporting marks but it was quickly relettered ACFX. This was one of 40 6-axle cars built under ACF Lot 71-14104 as SHPX 17451-17475 and 17481-17495. They were initially leased to Stauffer Chemical Co. for vinyl chloride service, and were last listed in the OFFICIAL RAILWAY EQUIPMENT REGISTER in July 1985.
