It was built in January 1967 with SHPX reporting marks but it was quickly relettered ACFX. This was one of 40 6-axle cars built under ACF Lot 71-14104 as SHPX 17451-17475 and 17481-17495. They were initially leased to Stauffer Chemical Co. for vinyl chloride service, and were last listed in the OFFICIAL RAILWAY EQUIPMENT REGISTER in July 1985. |
