| This RailWhales was on an eastbound CSX train detouring over the Norfolk Southern, on the Lake Pontchartrain trestle. It was one of 70 cars in the DUPX series 29700-29769 built by ACF in 1968. These 43,800-gallon cars was the largest single group of 8-axle tanks cars, and most were scrapped in 2009-2010, just after their 40th birthdays. |
